Just a quick - or not so quick - general news summary....
Two popular BeOS forums are currently off-line for whatever reasons - both
BeGroovy and the
Haiku forums are currently dead to the world, one for reasons unknown and the other with a MySQL error. However, all other Haiku business continues, and includes a new,
single-article newsletter, coincidentally the 400th item in their news database.
In other news, a new public beta of the Haiku
PCL 6 Printer Driver has been released, which has experimental support for colour printing, landscape mode, RLE compression and other features added since the last beta nearly 3 years ago.
A bugfix for MSN logins has been released for the
IM Kit Alpha 12 that was unveiled recently. The IM Kit requires BONE or Zeta.
New builds of
Seamonkey 1.x have been released. Seamonkey is the replacement for the original Mozilla Application Suite, and includes a browser, email client, address book, IRC client and web editor - although single application equivalents of most of these are available for BeOS (Firefox, Thunderbird and Nvu) for those who prefer multiple, smaller applications.
