Thanks to the Be Sample Code and Ithamar "ColaCoder" Adema, Haiku now
has a driver for the venerable
NE2000 network card standard. While NE2000 compatible cards are rarely manufactured anymore, they are the baseline for network cards, with most ethernet cards of the 10Mbit era supporting it. But most notably, the "network card" in QEMU is an NE2000, which should enable network stack testing for any developers who are reliant on Linux hosted Haiku for development.
The driver currently only supports PCI variants of the card, which spanned ISA, PCI and PCMCIA versions.
