An extremely short newsletter was published on Haiku's site on Friday, Haiku's fifth birthday. The newsletter announces the start of a Marketing & Communications (Marcom) group for Haiku, a a precursor to 1.0. It will be lead by marketing professional Jorge "Koki" G. Mare, a long-term BeOS/ZETA user and a leading representitive of Japanese users for some years.

This is likely in response to the very, very heated debates which have raged on the mailing list for the past few weeks. Covering marketing, graphic design, and everything related to it, these can be viewed on the mailing list archive, for the truely masochistic.
