[email] [print]  Mail Daemon Replacement, v2.1.0 RC1.

Jun 26, 2003 21:31 UTC, by Chris Simmons, Senior Journalist.
From the threading-the-needle department...

Heads up all you MDR lovers out there... There's a new version out, and it has your name on it.

As usual you can check it out on it's bebits page. Feel free to even download it! Shucks! BGA has a BONE version on the way, and there's even more exciting news... By December of this year (2003), IMAP will have SSL support, according to NathanW. (overheard him talking on BeShare.. shh. ;)

Another feature a little birdie told me is that support for newsgroups might make it's way to MDR. Now, that would be sweet.

Notable differences with this major release is the fact that it IS a major release.. 2.1. Also to note is that the IMAP engine has been completely redone. Nice. POP3 access is faster, and so on... Download it now! Do it! I command thee. ;)

I'll be first in line, thank you very much, for the BONE version when BGA decides to stop watching brazillian soccer tryouts. ;)
