Another mail I got was from Phil Greenway, aka (for those of you who go to BeShare) Sikosis. The Australian BUG called BeOutBack is looking into organizing their very own BeGeistert. Here's what Sikosis had to say:
"My name is Phil (Sikosis) and I'm an Australian BeOS user and developer.
With the success of European's BeGeistert, I thought I'd find out if us Aussies, were interested in running an event like this, but on our own soil. It would be BeGeistert Down Under or ABDC or something like that.
We have setup a forum, for the discussion of this topic, here.
There is also a poll, so if you could please vote and post a comment, then we will have a firmer idea of numbers, etc.
The benefits of attending an event like this are:
+ to have fun
+ build a commuity of friends / users / developers
+ get hands-on user training from other users
+ get hands-on code training from other developers
+ demonstrations / presentations
+ plus more ...
If you have any ideas/feedback about this proposed event, please do not
hesitate to contact myself or post a comment on the forum.
Cheers
Phil Greenway (Sikosis)"
So there you have it folks. How about it? If you're an aussie BeOS user, or just curious about it and would like to see it live and kicking, go over to their site and make yourself heard.
