[email] [print]  ProcessController Now LGPL, @ BeUnited.

Feb 25, 2004 00:02 UTC, by Chris Simmons, Senior Journalist.
From the idleness department...

Georges-Edouard Berenger (known as Geb to some of us) has donated the source code for ProcessController, his award winning system utility, to BeUnited.org. Many in the BeOS Community value this utility highly, and consider it an indespensible "must have" for every installation of BeOS.

ProcessController runs unobtrusively in the Deskbar and allows one to view and manage the many threads and programs that might need a gentle persuasion to be restarted. ;) Not only does it allow you to manage tricky programs, but you can restart system services, run Tracker/Deskbar, and observe cpu and memory usage. It's a great program that I personally recommend to anyone who doesn't already run it.

The program source will be licensed under the LGPL (Limited General Public License) and reside with the other active projects on BeUnited.org's Developer page. Anyone interested in seeing further development of this fine program should consult with the team leader. (To be announced soon.)
