[email] [print]  Yet More OpenBeOS Kernel Progress

May 12, 2004 21:59 UTC, by Kian Duffy, Senior Journalist.
From the i'm-running-out-of-tagline-ideas department...

Axel Dorfler today posted to the OpenBeOS Kernel Developers mailing list, that the OpenBeOS kernel now supports module pre-loading. This means that the IDE drivers (which are luckily already written) can be implemented and allow OpenBeOS to run off a harddisk with read/write access to it.

This brings OpenBeOS R1 one important step closer to completion. This coupled with Darkwyrms return should give the project a decent boost.

I'm open to suggestions for article taglines for future milestones, I'm running out of ideas :-)
