David McPaul from
3ivx Technologies, PTY has ported the 3ivx video decoder to the Haiku Media Kit, as announced on the
Haiku Media Kit Mailing List. This first class media decoder already exists for BeOS R5, and its existance for Haiku shows a continued commitment from the company to the BeOS/Haiku platform.
The decoder is not publically available yet, however, and still has
some problems.
