As of December 2, the
WonderBrush graphics editor by
YellowBites has recently seen improvements, notably with work leading to full export abilities.
I'll let a snippet of their press release reveal more of the story:
As the work on the next version of WonderBrush is progressing at a steady pace, we can tell you that it will feature a redesigned and uniformed export mechanism. The mess in the File menu is therefor greatly reduced. Two new export modules are in the work: Adobe Illustrator and SVG. Only exporting is supported yet, though at least import for SVG would be nice to have, but we keep that for later. By far not all features of WonderBrush documents are currently resembled in the Illustrator and SVG format, only Shape objects are fully supported. Bitmap and Text objects are exported in Illustrator format as of now, but to get everything fully functional is not trival. We'll keep working on it and aim for a polished and usable export feature...
Very nice to see such a polished graphics tool made more accessible to some industry standard tools. Perhaps one day we'll see the entire workflow represented in a screenshot, running on Haiku/BeOS/Zeta. Till then, we should urge the YellowBites crew on with good feedback, constructive criticism, and any help we can.
