Throughout our history we have strived to be a website where news is reported at least daily, with submissions from you, posted by our ever-changing staff. The BeOS Community is the heart and soul of Haiku News; you are what make us tick, and quite frankly, inspire us to remain dedicated to the task.
The website has changed a number of times, and continues to evolve, sporting new features requested by you, focusing on projects and events throughout our great community, and basically being as accessible as it can in a give-and-take manner. Without the many news submissions throughout the years, it is unlikely the news archive would have grown the way it has.
From time to time, various individuals have come to help us in reporting the news to you. Some of these helping hands have only submitted a single story, but that is fine with us. Even a single story post shows the voluntary and friendly spirit that embodies the BeOS Community. If you have a hot tip, or want to pen a story that has rattled around upstairs for a while, feel free to drop us a line and submit your news entry.
In time, this website will become even more full of services and features as we add them, but don't worry, we have a handy sitemap for you. If you have an idea or feel the need for a particular service, please contact us and we will see about incorporating it into our news system.
Finally, I would like to thank everyone involved with the BeOS. From the developers of Be Inc., to the many thousands of individuals who have struggled to code some really cool applications, I give my appreciation.
