We
reported on this a bit before Christmas, but the first Echo Audio driver beta has
been released to BeBits. These are the first pro-audio drivers made available since Be ceased to exist.
Part of
Haiku, there are four versions of the driver, which is based on Echo's public source code. BeOS R5 supported only the "gals" variaty of cards until now, but support is now avaiable for "gals", "24", "3g" and Indigo cards, including PCMCIA formats. Only the 3g version has been tested by the developer, Jerome Duval, and I guess he would like reports of how working, or not, the drivers are.
