Its been a relatively busy week at BeBits and elsewhere for software, including a resurrection -
The Music Weaver, a MIDI processing suite, has been updated for the first time since
2001! The former shareware is now freeware, with donations accepted, and seems to be a labour of love for the author, who states:
"So I suspect that this is the last release. If someone gives me feedback, I might change my mind..."
If anyone out enjoys using this application, now might be a good time to let him know.
Mozilla Firefox has been updated for net_server, BONE and ZETA with a new trunk build, notably introducing Safari-like close buttons on each tab. This close button is on the "wrong side" for BeOS users, who may want the
Haiku Fox theme to move it back to the right place.
Additionally, BONE and net_server builds of
Mozilla Sunbird have been made available. Sunbird is the standalone calender companion of Firefox and Thunderbird, spun off from the Mozilla Suite's calender.
Some other bits and pieces on BeBits include
rudimentary VMWare tools which allow the clipboard sharing and mouse support that use of VMWare Tools on a Linux or Windows guest does; and some updates to
SimplyVorbis.
