BeShare, BeOS's native chat and filesharing application now has forums - of a sort. A set of
additional forums have been added to the already vibrant
frappr map, which currently lists 284 users of the client. The map shows the higher concentration of BeShare users in Europe over anywhere else fairly well, although this cannot be taken to represent BeOS users in general - Japan's highly vibrant user base seems not to use BeShare, or at least don't publisise themselves via Frappr - with Japan carrying as few markers as my own Ireland.
BeShare itself was minorly updated recently, mainly to allow it to build against the newest version of the MUSCLE API that powers it, and translation fixes. The forums don't integrate with the client - as it thankfully hasn't got a web browser built in - and are obviously free for all BeOS users, beshare'rs or not, to use.
