[email] [print]  Hardware OpenGL under Haiku

May 17, 2006 15:12 UTC, by Kian Duffy, Senior Journalist.
From the spinny-teapots-and-fighty-beasts department...

Following up on our previous report of ever so slightly wrong OpenGL rendering under Haiku; John Drinkwater now has some screenshots showing working OpenGL, from GLTeapot to two screenshots of Quake III Arena. These are hardware rendered, unlike the earlier shots of software rendering via MESA under Haiku. This is using Rudolfs 3D Driver and obviously a supported card is required.

I should, however, note that I was told off for my last report for misreading the FPS in GLTeapot, missing a decimal point. In his current screenshot, GLTeapot is rendering at 73.9 frames per second, not the impressive sounding 536 of my previous report. Oops.
