The 1.2.0 release of the Cairo vector graphics library has been supported, with an experimental BeOS backend included. We reported on the BeOS backend being added to CVS versions of Cairo back in December, but 1.2.0 is the first stable release to support BeOS.

Cairo is used by recent versions of Mozilla for SVG and CANVAS support, and is also used in the past few releases of GTK+. Its similar in operation and use by applications to Anti-Grain Geometry, another 2D graphics library already supported on BeOS and used in Haiku's app_server.
