Having been away for a while and with a lot of news (for once) to go through, whatever better place to start than with yet another BeBits roundup...
A
new version of the legacy 2.95.3 GCC required to build R5 or Haiku R1-compatible C++ applications has been posted. This version contains support for anonymous structs and unions in C, and modifies ld and the default specs for better handling of BeOS's symbol requirements. This now appears to be required to build Haiku.
Those of you who use BeOS under virtualisation may enjoy the
vlance network driver, which enables the virtual network driver in VMWare.
A new version of the mobile phone manager
BeMobile has been released, adding support for sending SMS messages via your Motorola or other AT compatible phone from BeOS.
