[email] [print]  Zeta Comes Back From Prague Presentation And Looks For Translators.

From the deal department...

Zeta was presented once again (and this will continue), this time in the beautiful (so I'm told) city of Prague, in the Czech Republic. The presentation was held at the Czech Ministry of Technology, and from what can be read over at the yellowTab (also it's what Bernd told me personally), it was very well received.

This is one of the steps that yellowTab is taking torwards making Zeta even mode widely available, through placing it in schools and other public institutions. YellowTab explains this:

"Why was this presentation so important? One of the duties of this Ministry is to provide schools and public institutions of money to buy hardware and software. The hardware used is old, but it's necessary to upgrade the operating system. However, the upgrade from Windows 95/98 to Windows XP/2000 would mean all hardware has to be updated as well, for which there are no funds available. As a result it would be nearly impossible using new technologies."

So you see now why this presentation was so important. Now, about the title of this news piece. This presentation (and others) brings back the issue of localization. As you know, Zeta includes the LocaleKit and they are now looking for someone who can translate Zeta into czech and also chinese. And get this, the translator who does this (and does it well) gets a free Zeta Deluxe Edition, worth 99 USD. If you're "the one", if you feel you're up to it, contact them.
