Well, this is what you get from playing Splinter Cell all afternoon... you miss website updates...
The first comes to us from
YellowTab. Bernd Korz is going on an asian Zeta tour. This has been scheduled for sometime now, but i didn't publish it online (though i had Bernd's info and permission, as well as Koki's information) because at a time, the trip was cancelled by the travel agencie due to the SARS epidemy, but everything is go as it seems. Bernd is going to Tokyo to demo Zeta on the 19th. This trip and demo has been made possible with the help of the recently established Japan BeOS Network,
JPBE.net and the computer magazine DOS/V Magazine.
The attendance is limited, so for details on how to be present, visit the JPBE site, linked above. Bernd Korz was also visiting China and Singapore, though it is not mentioned in their announcement, so i will try and get confirmation as soon as possible. Remember we saying the asian market was a very important one? Now you see...
Second and last but
definitely not least,
Blue Eyed OS has a new site. And i must say i like it. They have a couple of new sections and with the new site comes a small
article from Guillaume Maillard.
But of course, the big news that everyone was waiting for was the release of their first Beta CD. It's based on the Knoppix linux distro but with their own kernel_server, libroot.so, app_server, libbe.so and storage kit. As it's been said before, it's bootable CD which doesn't need to be installed on your HDD. They say the ISO is ready and weights in at 120MB, they just need to find a host for it, no doubt the traffic generated by it will be quite high.
Big news indeed, I will definitely try it once it's out. And when it is out, rest assure we'll let you know. Stay (very) tuned.
