From the makin-grrr-noises department...

Want to be part of a great community, a sharing and helping community of magnificant developers from around the world? Want to participate in code sharing sessions where the latest and greatest method since the bubble sort is made readily available to you?

Oh wait.. You already are part of the BeOS Community. Howeever, this really cool idea has come along that propels and extends the nature of our best strengths, in one single place.

What am I talking about? Why, its the BeClan!

A brief snippet from their front page:

"BeClan is aimed at providing a range of services to all those developing for any BeOS like system.

Ever since Be was sold to Palm there has been a void in providing detailed support for those wishing to develop for BeOS, and the same will likely be true for Zeta, OpenBeOS, BlueEyedOS and all the other contenders to replace BeOS. While these systems are being actively developed by small groups of people it's not reasonable to expect them to provide much in the way of developer support, certainly not at the detailed level that all developers find themselves craving at some point or other. Thinking about this problem it became apparent that the community would have to fill this void itself! The idea that would evolve into BeClan was born.."

Sounds like a good idea to me. Go now, click da link (you know you want to... ok, here's my mind control!)

If you have a great idea on how to extend this idea even further, there is a fledgling mailing list just started, and it invites discussion from everyone.

Go. Go now.. Shoo! ;)
