The BlueEyedOS project has
recently switched to the Limited General Public License (LGPL). Here's what Guillaume Maillard has to say:
"Seeing the lack of new members joining the project in the last 6 months, I considered a complete switch to a full opensource mode under LGLP license. Now it's offcial, B.E.OS is under LGPL license. To more details about this decision, read my column. We will soon open a CVS server (fully available to public) and post information about it (access, setup, patch submission...)."
Guillaume also wrote more about his decision in a column titled,
Transfer of Power, which provides a bit of history on the project, what it has achieved, and why he chose to use the LGPL.
