[email] [print]  Project 'X' Website Launched.

Jan 01, 2004 14:15 UTC, by Chris Simmons, Senior Journalist.
From the blast-off department...

The Official Website for Project 'X' has been launched by Jonathan Thompson here.

We had a few minutes to talk with Jonathan and asked him some questions:

Have your plans changed any since the last time we talked? Can you provide any more details on the project at this time?
I've added more suggestions to my internal feature list. Some have come as a result of people giving suggestions on BeShare.

I notice a lack of screenshots on the website... are they coming shortly? ;)
Some will, but some will remain incomplete intentionally. There are some features I think I would like to remain mysterious until release time about the GUI, even if I had a fully implemented GUI at this time.

How has the feedback from the BeOS Community been lately, now that your project has been gaining more exposure?
I find it interesting just how few people respond to polls. It makes it hard to gather data that way. I find myself wondering why so few responses have been made.

Thanks Jonathan... We look forward to hearing more progress reports at regularly scheduled intervals! ;)
I'll try to post something new about status weekly, but I won't promise more than that. Also, the details may be vague other than to say "I got another advanced feature completed, but not tested". I have figured out a way to advance the state of the art of auto completion beyond what I see in Visual Studio.

So there you have it. A hard working developer who is focused on bringing a well thought-out development tool to the BeOS. Visit his website for further information.

**note** : mistakenly had Rudolf's url there instead of Jonathan's... oops. ;) fixed now.
