The bounty on fixing the long-standing printing issue with BeZilla has just gone into high gear. The total is now at $250 USD, and seems genuine.
The issue? The fact that
BeZilla, the BeOS port of the
Mozilla Browser, has never been able to print to a
real printer directly. Always it has been through some secondary means, such as printing to a file and having the system print for you in a second step. (Someone please email me with further clarification on this issue, I will admit to having scant details at this time.)
According to
this forum post at BeZilla.org, there are some people willing to offer financial incentive to budding programmers who can fix this issue. Any takers out there?
Please use the forum I mentioned as the central point of contact on this issue. I will be closing the thread that spawned in our forum and pointing the way to BeZilla.org's forum for future reference.
Thanks to capoccia for bringing this issue to light again. I wouldn't have spotted it without him. I will be keeping a close eye on that forum and revealing more here for the general public if needed.
