Wow. I woke up today and checked our forum to discover that Euan Kirkhope has achieved a work-around for the 1 Gigabyte memory limitation in the BeOS.

SWEET.

What can I say? We didn't want to flood Euan's server, so we're mirroring a local copy. You can download the patch file from The BeOSJournal here:

Granted, at the moment the work-around simply fools BeOS into thinking there is only 64MB installed, but everything seems to function properly, and this arbitrary value can be adjusted upwards.

Congratulations to Euan Kirkhope and all of the other fine members of the BeOS Community who helped make this a reality.

Cheers!
