From the dollar-signs department...
We managed to get Michael Phipps online after his two days at WalterCon, and asked him a few quick questions about the event. Michael was exhausted, but enthuisiastic about how things went.
How has WalterCon been?
The general feeling was that it was really cool to meet people and finally put names with faces. It has really been sort of a love fest - everyone has had a lot of fun and gotten along. Other than Java, no one was really coding here. It was more talking and hanging out. We spent all day talking about ideas about what R2 could be.
Will there be a WalterCon next year?
WalterCon was a very good experience. I would love to do another one.
How has the general feeling been about the release of Haiku R1?
The feeling is that we are making good progress. But the stuff that is yet to be done is still pretty big.
Is Haiku development on track as far as being able to get the job done?
Can the current team do the job? Sure.
Do people there feel confident in Haiku, the logo, name, etc?
The name and the logo, unless people are lying to me, are exceptionally well received. Probably 1/4 of the people here already knew the name. But the shirts came out exceptionally well.
Will there be shirts available of both WalterCon, and Haiku logos?
There will be Haiku shirts. Waltercon shirts are for (for the most part) people who were here.
Thanks Michael...
My pleasure.
