First up, wanted to remind everyone that there is only one day left for submissions to the BeOSRadio Skin Contest.

What is this, you ask? Its where you create a killer Winamp skin (tutorials), for SoundPlay or cl_amp (both native BeOS audio players) that is themed to BeOSRadio.

Ok, really, it is not that hard. And the prize for the winning entry is a free copy of TunePrepper, a $79.95 value. TunePrepper allows you to rip audio CD's and convert them to mp3, normalize them, trim silence, and retrieves the track information automatically from online sources.

We have some entries, but we won't announce them for a few days, to allow even more to come our way. Please send them in zipfile format, with "BeOSRadio Skin Contest" in the subject line, to submissions@beosjournal.org.

There's some changes coming to BeOSRadio, in the form of a new syndicated radio show titled "Into Tomorrow" with Dave Graveline. Dave Graveline's website, www.graveline.com, bills the show as "The listener interactive network radio show covering the latest in Consumer Electronic & Technology for the past 9 years."

Presently the syndicated spots on BeOSRadio are pre-recorded, but Dane Scott (our lovable BeOSRadio host) hopes to go live with mixing their streams soon. Also coming are one-minute technology minutes; as Dane puts it: "Each hour on the half hour, we do a technology minute called 'Into Tomorrow' with Dave Graveline."

And finally, in even more BeOSRadio news, TuneTracker Systems is going to be introducing a new sliding scale for Resellers wishing to retail TuneTracker, to be announced.
