As announced on their website, today is the third birthday of the Haiku project.

First announced in August 2001, the first post to its mailing list was on the 18th of August that year.

In a nice long news item, Michael Phipps gives a status report on the entire project, which shows the massive progress that has occured over the past year, since his posting to commemerate the 2nd birthday.
