Marcus Overhagen has been quietly working away on several fronts concerning the Haiku Media Kit; he reports on the openbeosmediakit Mailing List that several bugfixes and changes are in the works.

The Haiku Media Kit has been tweaked slightly to work under Zeta RC3, with its mimetype changed so that restarting the media kit functions properly, and some of the icons removed, citing copyright issues.

Marcus has also been working on a new MediaPlayer replacement, a test version of which is to be released shortly, although no source code will be released at the moment.

Lastly, an issue with SoundPlay has cropped up for which Marcus hopes to resolve with Marco Nelissen shortly. Marcus wants everyone to know, so that it is not errantly reported as a Media Kit bug, but is rather a "known issue" with SoundPlay and the Haiku Media Kit.
