Following a long dry period, BeOS nightly builds of VLC are now back, available from Eric Petits site
here.
These are development builds, not stable releases, and are from the pre-0.82 SVN. They should, however, be good enough for normal use.
Also, the issue with pitch changing that many people, particularly AMD users, suffered from has now been fixed, not in VLC, but in BeOS itself. Even if your CPU is under 2Ghz, Micheal Lotz's
cpu_fix might be able to fix any slight system timer wobbles that were upsetting VLC. This will give you an all-round better BeOS experience, as a lot of the OS relies on the system timer.
