Now an official part of
Haiku, the Mail Daemon Replacement has now reached version 3.00, the second major version bump since the project started in 2000.
The entire kit now uses Haikus libtextencodings (included in the package), so a number of new encodings are now supported, particularly Chinese ones. POP/SSL support has been added, which lets you use
GMail in BeMail for the first time. The package also includes the required SSL libraries, so a seperate download of OpenSSL is no longer required.
As always, the new build can be found at
BeBits, or built from Haiku's CVS.
