Sergei "fyysik" Dolgov and I were chatting in BeShare a few minutes ago and he informed me that work on the Firefox port is progressing as planned.

Currently in queue is transferring the BeOS specific patches from the 1.7 Mozilla tree to the 1.8*-current tree (more info: Mozilla roadmap). Recently the team managed to knock out 5 major bugs in the past 10 days, as they work hard despite the holiday season.

I asked Sergei when we'd be seeing a 1.0 release of Firefox for BeOS, and the answer was not before December 28th, as that is when Fredrik Holmqvist returns to the fray.
