[email] [print] Various Updates, New Releases...

Sep 15, 2003 02:16 UTC, by Chris Simmons, Senior Journalist.
From the trippin'-around-downtown department...

Daat over at IsComputerOn posted this a few days ago, eagle eyed reporter that he is... ;) It seems there's a new version of Beam available for download from SourceForge. I downloaded it and took a look at the changes.txt changelog file. Wow. I suggest you do the same and give it a whirl.

Registered users of Refraction will be glad to hear there is now a new version on Xentronix's site. The announcement wasn't immediately apparent from their front page, but shows up when you browse the "More news..." link on the right. Thanks to Daat and ZetaNews for first reporting that.

Last but not least, there has been some progress on the midi front. It appears the new midi_server has been compiled using a mixture of old and new libraries? Someone please correct me if my understanding of the technical details are muddled. Thanks to Christian Klassen for the heads up. ;)
