Eric Petit, the programmer behind
Handbrake, has recently posted
some screenshots of how the UI is coming along.
According to the
changelog, and as noted in the March 1st status update, recent additions to versions after 0.5.2 include chapters, subtitles, mp4/H.264 output, 2-pass H.264 encoding, custom aspect ratio, framerate and samplerate.
As of March 10th, the BeOS GUI is more complete, with the application reaching version 0.7 beta as it approaches the final version that will be released for BeOS as well as for Mac OS X.
Head on over to the project homepage and if you are brave,
download the CVS version to give it a whirl. Thanks to Andrew McCall for reporting this news to us, and thanks to Eric for his hard work!
