[email] [print]  BeOSRadio Week 2005, March 24th - 31st.

Mar 24, 2005 19:12 UTC, by Chris Simmons, Senior Journalist.
From the who-brought-punch? department...

Hey gang...

You know that empty sound right now that fills your room as you stare in front of your screen reading these very words?

Why not fill it up with the extreme variety of BeOSRadio?

For one week we are encouraging everyone to listen in to BeOSRadio online, via the regular Shoutcast stream or the new AbaCast stream (requires visiting site.).

Tune into Dane's rich programme of news, interviews, talented artists and more. Even a TunePrepper 2 giveaway contest!

Yes, that's right. We've received the go-ahead from Dane to give away one copy of TunePrepper 2, valued at $79.95, to the lucky tenth emailer who emails us. So far a few people have emailed us when we leaked out the details last week, but there are several slots open so hurry now and send that email with the secret passphrase. (Hint: read the BeOSRadio Week page to know it.)

Alright. Now that you know some of the details let me take a few words to say why I think BeOSRadio is so important to us all.

BeOSRadio has been one of the cornerstones of our fine community, throughout the years serving as a touchstone and source of rich musical content contributed in large part by its listeners. Dane Scott is a dear friend to me, and to us all, and it makes me proud to help him and his station in any way I can. I've come to view Dane as a trusted confidant, experiencing some of the troubles we've encountered in our shared history with using BeOS, and this has made me realize there is nothing better than the spirit of true friendship.

This same spirit of friendliness flows throughout our community, with the many helping hands that make large projects seem manageable, wild ideas born of inspiration seem possible, and so much more.

Please, take the time to share these feelings with others around you, by introducing those you know to BeOSRadio. I promise it is worth every second.
