New Haiku contributor David McPaul today committed a MOV extractor (file reader) to the Haiku CVS. As Haiku already has a working libavcodec based media decoder, this allows users of the Haiku media kit to view Cinepak, Sorenson 1 and Sorenson 3 format video files, along with most of the associated audio codecs.

Until now, only videos in AVI and Ogg containers could be viewed, along with a host of audio-only formats.
