Hi folks.

You may have noticed the lack of news in recent weeks. This is not due to the lack of effort by any of the various haiku developers, let me assure you. It is mostly because I've had the misfortune of looking for work and not finding any, and feeling generally depressed about the entire situation I'm in.

I look back at the many news entries I've posted on this site and the old, The BeOSJournal, and feel amazed at how upbeat I was back then. What happened to me now? The same thing that happens to millions of normal people around the world. I got depressed, a bit lazy, and kept putting off posting -something- out of shame.

I want to rectify that, and have emailed the various development leaders in our community asking for a brief update that I can forward here. I'll be more diligent, even if it means posting another BeBits roundup. :P

Also, I did have a nice vacation for most of Dec/2005 in Canada, but coming back to Europe where I live in Rotterdam has prompted me to make some hard decisions about my future. I am now planning to move back to my hometown of Edmonton, Alberta, and will surely find work there which will improve my living conditions immensely.

I'd like to wish everyone a belated Happy New Years, and for you all to know that you've been in my thoughts all this time, despite my absence in BeShare, etc.
