[email] [print]  yellowTAB Make Official Statement on Bankruptcy Protection

Apr 14, 2006 16:01 UTC, by Kian Duffy, Senior Journalist.
From the not-over-yet department...

As promised at the time, yellowTAB have made an official statement on their entry in to bankruptcy protection (which we reported on last week.

The statement confirms that the company is in bankruptcy protection, although also confirms exactly what this means in German - the company is still in business and operational, and has not gone bankrupt. It also outlines ten FAQ-like points, which reveal that ZETA 1.2 will be released, as planned; that the retail cost of ZETA is likely to decrease to €89.90, and that activation has been removed from the 1.2 release, meaning that no internet connection or international phonecalls will be required to prevent the "nag screen". 1.2 will be released as a CD-based update at a cost of €10, effectively media costs. And there is going to be future development of drivers and applications in collaboration with Haiku.
