[email] [print]  Haiku Seeks Documentation Writers

Apr 18, 2007 18:45 UTC, by Kian Duffy, Senior Journalist.
From the developmentally-writing department...

In an announcement over at the Haiku website, Niels "Neilx" Reedjik has announced the formation of the Documentation Team, with the intention of getting some people together to provide comprehensive API documentation for the OS. BeOS was notable, at the time, for its full and free documentation in the form of the Be Book, as well as regular updates and implementation tips in the Be Newsletters - both of which are now available under Creative Commons licening thanks to ACCESS.

Some parts of Haiku already have their own documentation - notably listings of API changes over BeOS 5.0 and the new filesystem API, as well as a small amount of replacement documentation for BeOS 5.0-compatible components, and a daily build from Doxygen sources of this is available on Haiku's site
