DarkWyrm has posted in the openbeos mailing list that the Haiku Team has decide to cancel WalterCon 2007. This is mainly cause a global lack of community interest, due of a late announcement combined with the community being spread across the globe. Michael Phipps has been invited to speak at the upcoming LinuxWorld conference.

Since some people had already taken not refundable plane tickets, a non Haiku initiative is growing and planned to take part of the Linux 16th Anniversary Picnic in Sunnyvale Bayland Parks, on Saturday, August 11, from 11:00AM to 4:00PM. (see the map here)
