[email] [print]  Bill Hayden Comments On Cosmoe.

Apr 05, 2004 04:13 UTC, by Chris Simmons, Senior Journalist.
From the cosmology-applique department...

Bill Hayden recently posted the current status of the Cosmoe project to the Cosmoe Developer mailing list, viewable online thanks to Topica.

Most notable is that he notes the project is "basically turning Cosmoe into a OBOS port to Linux" (emphasis mine.) Bill also included a download url for his current sourcecode; he warns to use curl or wget to retrieve it due to a server issue with mimetypes.

It is nice seeing some life in this project, given the skepticism by many in the community of this as merely "bolting BeOS" onto linux. I wish Bill the best of luck with his work, as I know how difficult developing for any large-scale project can be at times.
