Two long time BeOS developers, misza and Jonas Sundstrom, have both left BeOS development recently.
 
misza, probably best known for his BeTeX TeX editor, has left BeOS for Linux, and has abandoned the source code. He states that the source is now freely available and usable, and is available here.
 
In addition, Jonas Sundstrom, developer of a number of useful tools which he himself described as being for 'Desktop DIY', has announced that his is leaving computing behind.
 
There have been a number of other high profile departations from BeOS recently, including Haiku developer Waldemar Kornewald of the networking kit team.
