More Wireless Support - Ralink This Time Sep 11, 2005 14:58 UTC, by Kian Duffy, Senior Journalist From the surfin-with-no-strings-attached department... Patrick Lafarguette, BeOS's most prolific network driver author, has today posted to BeBits a driver for the Ralink 2500 wireless network chipset. This 802.11b/g combo card is used in a number of cards, inlcuding the Sitecom WL-115 PCI card which Patrick used to develop the driver. Patrick has to date provided all wireless drivers available for BeOS R5, covering the Harris/Intersil Prism 802.11b chipsets (used by Lucent, and hundreds of onboard wireless cards in early wireless laptops), and the Intel 2200 chipset in the majority of 802.11b/g capable Intel Centrino laptops. He has also written drivers for most of 3Com's current consumer ethernet range - 10/100 3C920 and 10/100/1000 3C940 chipsets.
