Axel Marches On Oct 18, 2005 20:22 UTC, by Kian Duffy, Senior Journalist From the installerise-this department... Axel Dörfler has been quite busy since his annoucement that he is working full-time for Haiku. Haiku is now able to boot from CD. In addition, an incompatibility with OpenBFS's logging format with that of the original BFS, was discovered, and fixed. In addition, BFS was moved over to using the kernel's stack implementation, and not its own. While CD booting now works, no public CD images will be provided until Haiku is in a state where it may be of some use fore testing. However, unofficial hard drive images will continue to be provided by those who produce builds. What comes next from Axel is anybodies guess, but with around 6 weeks left for him to work full-time for Haiku, its likely to be important for the future of Haiku.
