Haiku Status Update: This Time, Its Official Nov 22, 2005 13:52 UTC, by Kian Duffy, Senior Journalist From the official-news-goodness department... After quite a bit of official radio silence from Haiku, albeit not as long as previous gaps, an official status update. This update gives official confirmation of Axel Dörfler's progress as Haiku's first paid employee, and gives the news that he'll be continuing to work for them throughout December. Axel's work has covered CD booting, multiprocessor and hyperthreading support, font support and input handling in the ~6 weeks he has worked fulltime on Haiku so far. Michael reminds those who didn't go to Waltercon 2005 that there are about a dozen t-shirts left available for purchase, with proceeds going towards Haiku's funds, which he says are now quite low. There is also a call for newsletter articles, if anyone wishes to contribute.
