Firefox Back On Track May 16, 2006 17:23 UTC, by Kian Duffy, Senior Journalist From the back-to-the-browsin\' department... We reported a few days ago about the changes to the Mozilla tree that would prevent any new builds of Firefox and Sunbird from being made for BeOS, until native threading was implemented in SQLite. This has now been implemented by René Gollent, probably best known as the main author of the Vision IRC client; and François "mmu_man" Revol. With some work, sucessful builds of Firefox are now possible. In the mean time, Mozilla Seamonkey building was also broken by (different) threading issues. The work which fixed the build also made the browser feel more repsonsive to multi-tasking, according to the Bezilla Livejournal.
