Rudolf Cornelissen to Wind Down BeOS Activities Jun 04, 2006 19:38 UTC, by Kian Duffy, Senior Journalist From the 3d-no-more department... Rudolf Cornelissen, author of the Matrox, Neomagic and nVidia drivers, as well as Haiku's AGP support and other projects, is taking a break, or possibly ceasing BeOS and Haiku development. Following a life-changing visit to the mountains of Spain, Rudolf has decided to devote more time to non-computing activities. He will complete some work on certain drivers, and is looking to transfer some donated hardware to new maintainers for some of his projects, and will continue to use and follow BeOS/Haiku. High-profile community members have publicly left to take time out before, including Waldemar Kornewald and Jonas "Kirilla" Sundstrom, although many people who leave BeOS eventually get drawn back. In additional news of BeOS users personal lifes, eternally youthful-looking BeOS Java porter, and author of the Javashare cross-platform BeShare client, Bryan Varner, is getting married. Hopefully the future Mrs. Varner will have no objections to late night coding binges and borderline Mountain Dew addictions ;)
