Axel Dörfler has published a status update and an architechtural document for the Haiku networking stack.
 
One of Michael Phipps two targets for completion for Haiku R1, the network stack has seen many occasional stints of work by various coders, and a number of architechtural changes over the nearly 5 years of OpenBeOS/Haiku, and any moves towards its completion are more than welcome.
