Last-Minute Updates To Refraction Before Beta 7. Feb 03, 2004 18:53 UTC, by Chris Simmons, Senior Journalist From the hotrod department... Xentronix, makers of the highly acclaimed Refraction (and SampleStudio) software have published the plaintext locale file for Refraction Beta 7. People willing to help them translate the English locale file into other languages have until the 8th of February (this coming Sunday) before the Beta 7 is official. If you wish to help out with translation work, please email Frans Van Nispen directly. Refraction has been updated since the last beta with quite a number of significant changes: - Locale string changes throughout various dialog boxes. - Fully configurable keybindings for all tools. - Tooltip and toolbar corrections. (no more double tools) - Automatic proofing for filters for the entire canvas. - Re-inclusion of the Color Manager in the Preferences. There are more changes in Beta 7 that will be reported on TBJ after it is released, so stay tuned. Head on over to Xentronix and check out some of the new screenshots, which feature a stunning picture of a "hot rod" being re-painted. ;) I know I personally am looking forward to seeing this product ship later this year. Good work Xentronix! **update** Apparently when Frans said "end of next weekend", he really meant the end of (now) this weekend, meaning the 15th of February. Sorry folks, guess we all have to wait a tad longer.
