HandBrake GUI Artist Needed. Mar 04, 2004 14:58 UTC, by Chris Simmons, Senior Journalist From the fixed-polarity department... At the behest of someone from the BeOS Community, I recently contacted Eric "Titer" Petit, author of HandBrake, and asked him what the status was. His reply was quite positive: "> Heyas Titer... > I heard you needed some help with the GUI in handbrake. > Mind if TBJ lends a hand and puts out a "call to arms"? > I'm sure we can drum up a developer or two, or three. ;) Hi Chris! That might be helpful indeed. I started to write a full-sensitive liblayout GUI for HB 0.6.x lately, but it quite bored me and I forgot about it. I'm releasing 0.6.0 for OS X soon, and actually there probably won't be a BeOS release unless I get some help (note than only the GUI requires some work, 0.6.0 already works fine in CLI). Thanks!" So, any GUI-heads out there who want to lend a hand? Eric could use some help, and we all would love to see the new version of HandBrake get released. Contact Eric and let him know. **update** Titer just emailed me to say several people have stepped forward, and things are in good shape.
