Well, you see now what locking away some developers in a basement somewhere can do for us? :)
 
Andrew Bachmann and a few of the other developers at WalterCon whipped up this little test demo of a real Web Server working under Java, running on BeOS, being accessed from other computers across their LAN.

What good is a Web Server in Java, I hear you asking... Well, its proof that the networking code in Java on BeOS works, for starters.
 
I've said it before, and I'll say it again... 2004 is -the- year of the code for us all. There is more to come folks, hang on tight!

Andrew just demonstrated an IRC Bot running on the Java Web Server, running on BeOS. :) Yes, that's right... an IRC Bot. More news as it happens in the next update.
