Computers Suck; an Editorial by Mikael Jansson.
Aug 30, 2004 10:57 UTC, by Chris Simmons, Senior Journalist
From the intelligentia department...
Mikael Jansson recently informed the Glass Elevator Mailing List of his editorial piece on how today's interaction of the computer is so complicated, and why it does not necessarily need to be so.
As Mikael outlines, today's user interface is a nightmarish menagerie of bewildering choices that for the lay person, are downright unnecessary. I realized Mikael's editorial is a little short, but it brings home a couple of important points, provides a rather apt example of typical usage, and raises the question, "Can Haiku do better?".
